The Sevilla taxi rate was officially set on 24 février 2024. Taxi tariffs in Spain are officially set by cities or districts. The taxi tariff Sevilla was last set in février 2024 and published in the official tariff ordinance. It is binding for all taxis and taxi companies within the compulsory driving area and may not be exceeded or undercut. This is ensured by officially calibrated taximeters installed in the taxis.

How the fare is made up under the Sevilla taxi rate:

The Sevilla taxi tariff provides a clear structure for how taxi rides are charged within the city. The fare depends on the time and day you travel. From Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, the daytime tariff applies. For rides during this period, the journey starts with a base fare of €1.55. After the base fare, each kilometer travelled costs €1.06. If the taxi is stationary or moving very slowly, waiting time is charged at a rate of €23.35 per hour.

For trips taken at night, from Monday to Friday between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am, as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays, a different rate applies. The night tariff starts with a base fare of €1.87. Each kilometer travelled during these hours is charged at €1.32. If there is waiting time, the cost is €29.21 per hour.

When you enter a Sevilla taxi, the meter starts with the base fare that matches the time and day. As your journey continues, the charge increases by the set amount for each kilometer travelled. If the taxi has to wait, for example at traffic lights or in heavy traffic, the waiting time rate is added to the fare. This clear and transparent system allows passengers to easily understand how the total fare is calculated.
