The Bali taxi rate was officially set on 1 janvier 2024. Taxi tariffs in Indonesia are officially set by cities or districts. The taxi tariff Bali was last set in janvier 2024 and published in the official tariff ordinance. It is binding for all taxis and taxi companies within the compulsory driving area and may not be exceeded or undercut. This is ensured by officially calibrated taximeters installed in the taxis.

How the fare is made up under the Bali taxi rate:

The taxi tariff in Bali uses a clear and straightforward charging system. When you start a trip, there is a base fare of 7500.00 IDR. This fixed amount is charged as soon as you enter the taxi and the journey begins.

After the base fare, the cost of your ride is determined by the distance you travel. For every kilometer covered during your trip, you will be charged 7250.00 IDR per kilometer. This rate applies for all distances after the base fare is applied.

If there is a need to wait during your journey, waiting time is charged at 100000.00 IDR per hour. This waiting time charge is added if the taxi is stationary or moving slowly at your request, such as waiting in traffic or for a passenger.

All charges are calculated in IDR. The Bali taxi tariff ensures that passengers can see how their fare is built up. You pay the base fare at the start, the distance rate for each kilometer, and any waiting time if it occurs.
